Privacy notice · invited beta · version 2026-10-26
Your information in the beta.
What we collect, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed. In plain words, because it's yours.
Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. These are our own words for a small beta of people we invite, written to say plainly what the beta does with your information. A qualified review comes before the beta opens to anyone else.
Who we are
Quantum Chartered runs the Quantum Chartered beta and decides how the information in it is used. Write to quantumchartered@gmail.com about anything in this notice.
This notice covers this website, your invitation and the beta app. The beta is a sandbox: it uses test money and simulated share prices, and no real money moves. This website collects nothing: it has no forms.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Invitation: the email address you gave us, and when your invitation was made and used | So that only people we invited can open an account |
| Signing in: your email address and a one-time code. In this beta the code is not emailed: we read it on the beta's server and send it to you ourselves by a private message. It lasts 5 minutes and works once | To confirm that the person signing in is the one we invited |
| Profile: your name and email. You are never asked for an identity document or a CNIC: your account gets a simulated sandbox entitlement instead, which is not an identity check | To run your account |
| Transaction PIN: kept only as a one-way code, never the digits themselves | To confirm test-money payments are yours |
| Bank accounts and contacts: any you add in the app, kept only as a one-way keyed code and a masked copy. Please enter test details only | To try linking a bank account and sending to people you save, with test money |
| Test-money activity: balances, transfers, bills, top-ups, orders and holdings | The service itself; all of it is test money |
| Your devices: each signed-in device's name and IP address, and when it was last used | To show your devices and let you sign them out, and to protect your account |
| Quantum AI and AI analyses: which question you chose, when, which calculations ran, whether an AI model or fixed rules wrote the explanation, and what it cost to make. What you type to Quantum AI is turned into one of a fixed set of questions on your phone; your typed words are not sent to us | To show how each answer was made, and to keep the AI within its limits |
| Savings goals: the amount and number of months, the amounts the plan worked out, the goal's status and when you decided | So Quantum AI can propose a plan and you can accept, decline or cancel it. A goal is a plan only: it moves no money |
| Problem reports: what you write when you report a problem in the app, the topic you chose, your app version and phone type, and our answer | To answer you and fix what went wrong. Read only by us, and never shown to the AI |
| App errors: when the app meets an error, its technical description with numbers and email addresses removed, the screen it happened on, your app version and phone type; and, if the app closed unexpectedly, a note of that the next time you open it | To find and fix faults |
| App use: each day you open the app while signed in, how many times that day, and your app version and phone type | To see whether the beta works for the people in it |
| Server logs and request counts: IP address, requests and times; and, for a minute or so at a time, a count of requests per account or IP address | To keep the service secure, limit abuse, and fix faults |
What we don't do
- No advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no cookies on this website. The app's own records of errors and use, above, stay on our server: no analytics company receives them.
- No fonts, scripts or images from anyone else on this website.
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for anything but the beta.
Where it is, and who else handles it
- Our server: the beta runs on the operator's own computer in Pakistan. Everything in the table above is kept there. Backups are encrypted before they are stored.
- Tailscale relays connections from the app to our server over the internet. The connection stays encrypted until it reaches our server, and Tailscale's relays cannot read it; they do see your IP address.
- The Android download comes from that same server, through Tailscale, so it sees your IP address when you download.
- Cloudflare serves this website, so it sees the IP address and browser of anyone who visits.
- Your messaging app: when we send you a sign-in code or your invitation by WhatsApp or another messaging app, that app's provider carries the message under its own terms.
- AI: in the beta, analyses are written by a built-in sandbox model on our own server, and no AI company receives anything. Before we use an outside AI provider we will update this notice, and such a provider would receive only the figures described on How the AI works: never your name, email, PIN or balances.
How long we keep it
- Your beta account, its test-money activity and your savings goals, while the beta runs. When it ends we delete them or remove everything that identifies you.
- Problem reports, error reports and app-use records, while the beta runs. When it ends we delete them.
- Sign-in codes stop working after 5 minutes. Server logs are overwritten as new ones arrive. Encrypted backups are deleted after 14 days.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it removed, and you can leave the beta at any time. Write to quantumchartered@gmail.com from the email address we invited. The beta's test-money records are kept without your details, so the books still balance.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels encrypted. Account numbers are stored only as keyed codes and masked copies, and your PIN only as a one-way code. Backups are encrypted before they are stored. Each sign-in code reaches only you, works once and lasts 5 minutes, and the app can lock with your fingerprint or face.
Who can join
The beta is for adults, 18 or over, whom we invite.
Changes
When this notice changes, its version date changes, and we'll tell people in the beta about anything that matters.
